Health NHS Trust was predicted by Sinead Brophy Consulting in

invited to advise this healthcare provider on a new approach to its
business.

Unique Market Position
South
Downs Health NHS Trust
(SDH) is the only stand-alone Community NHS Trust in England. The
extensive range of clinical services offered by the Trust, from
podiatry clinics to acute rehabilitation to supported independent
living, covers all aspects of what adults of any age need to enable
them as individuals to live at home for as long as possible. However,
urgent action was required to fully exploit the potential leverage of
the Trust and create a dynamic and resilient future where current
business is kept and new business is won.
Focus
on Core Business
Our
advice was to have a strict focus on core business, divesting the
organisation of extraneous activities or services which it is not best
placed to deliver and taking reputation-enhancing bold action to create
an organisation which thrives, benefitting patients and staff whilst
meeting the demands of health and social care today and in the
future.

Successful Outcome
South Downs
actively pursued our advice through a
change programme and have recently been successful in their bid to take
over the management of the provider arm of West Sussex PCT. A great
achievement and a strong basis for future growth and
development.
